NEWS UPDATE

Student filmmakers, enthusiasts, and educators from different universities nationwide attended the first-ever Film Education Convention (FilmEC) at De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde’s Design and Arts Campus in Manila, September 17.

Organized by the Academic Film Society of the Film Development Council of the Philippines, the event includes plenary talks and panel discussions led by award-winning filmmakers and professionals from the country.

All sessions and discussions during the convention are also being live-streamed at various Cinematheque Centres in Negros, Nabunturan, Iloilo, and Davao.

FilmEC is the first-ever film education convention that gathers Filipino filmmakers, educators, and students to promote and elevate film education in the Philippines.
